First Dance Songs

The choice of first dance song is an entirely subjective and personal decision for every couple to make. For many it is an easy choice – often a song that was playing when they first met or a song that they heard during an important and memorable point in their relationship. Some couples however find it hard to decide what their first dance song should be and the selection process can take weeks, if not months before they finally settle upon a particular track.

This is largely due to the significance of the first dance since it is a momentous occasion and one of the primary highlights of a wedding day that every bride (although not so many grooms!) looks back on with fond memories. Largely aside from the bouquet toss or the departure of the bride and groom, the first dance is also the last truly formal part of the wedding day.

Traditionally the first dance was done to a slow waltz. Nowadays however just about anything goes as couples continue to push the wedding boundaries in order to achieve exactly what they want on their wedding day./

So below, in no particular order, we have included a small selection of tracks that we have sourced and presented to clients over the past couple of years.
